Tulum, Q.R. — Elements of the Quintana Roo Police have arrested four people, one of which, was discovered armed with a firearm. The detainment of the four men was part of a preventative operation in Tulum.
Police took the four into custody at the intersection of Oko’ot and Centauro Norte streets in the vicinity of the irregular neighborhood 2 de Octubre after police noticed the group with an evasive attitude.
When attempting to stop them, the group fled. Upon inspection, police located a 22 caliber Uzi semi-automatic firearm with a stocked magazine. Police proceeded to arrest the group of four as well as seize their cell phones and one motorcycle.
The detained are identified as 32-year-old Israel N from Guerrero, 27-year-old Noé N from Guerrero, 31-year-old José N from Baja California and 24-year-old Ismael N, a native of Campeche.
