Tulum police make drug bust in Aldea Zama

Tulum, Q.R. — A group of five seen exchanging bags of narcotics inside a car in Tulum have been jailed. On Wednesday, elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security were carrying out surveillance tours in Aldea Zama when they noticed the vehicle.

From outside, police watched as the five people inside exchanged what was believed to be bags of narcotics. The driver of the car attempted to flee the area when he saw police, however, officers blocked their way on Itzamná Street.

An inspection revealed hundreds of street doses of marijuana and crystal meth. Arresting officers seized their drugs and several personal items including their Mexico City-plated Volkswagen Vento.

Arrested on drug offences was Osvaldo “N”, Irving “N”, Iván “N”, Kelwing “N” and Felida “N”.
