Tulum, Q.R. — A motorcycle driver who crashed into a pickup truck remains hospitalized in Tulum. The driver, 46-year-old Santos “C”, was able to tell police that he was traveling the highway to Playa del Carmen when a truck cut him off.
He lost control of his bike and ended up in highway vegetation. The driver of the truck did not stop. Passing motorists stopped to help, requesting an ambulance that transferred the injured man to Tulum.
He was taken to the Tulum General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being stabilized on the side of the highway by responding paramedics.
Police are on the lookout for the pickup that allegedly performed the illegal highway maneuver that caused the man to fall from his motorcycle.
