Tulum man shot in both legs for 300 peso, cell phone

Tulum, Q.R. — A Tulum man was rushed to hospital after being shot during a robbery. The shooting took place in Zamá Village Monday. Emergency services sent responders to the scene where they found 49-year-old Eduardo N with bullet wounds to both legs.

His friend, 33-year-old Rubén N, told authorities that Eduardo had been shot during a mugging where the assailants made off with 300 peso and his cell phone. They then fled on a turquoise bicycle.

Eduardo was transferred to hospital by ambulance. Police continue to investigate.
