Tulum, Q.R. — Two injured people were removed from the cab of a crushed truck Friday morning after it hit a tree. Police and firemen were sent to the scene of the Tulum-Cobá highway accident early Friday.
When they arrived, they located two men trapped inside the cab seating area of the truck. One of them required assistance from Tulum firemen to be freed. Both Juan P and Wilberth M were transferred to Tulum hospital for medical treatment.
The third man, the driver, fled the scene after the crash, leaving the other two trapped inside. Police did not locate the driver, however, while authorities were on scene, a woman who claimed to be the owner of the Jalisco-plated truck arrived.
The destroyed vehicle was eventually towed to the corralón.
