Tulum, Q.R. — A motorcycle driver was pronounced dead on arrival at a Tulum hospital Sunday night. The driver was found unconsciousness and with extremely serious injures after driving into a bus.

The accident happened on a section of federal highway outside the town of Tulum late Sunday.
According to preliminary information, the motorcycle driver crossed the center lane and into the path of an oncoming bus.
The bike hit the front of the passenger bus at highway speed. The driver was found laying on the highway partially intertwined with his motorcycle.
Civil Protection paramedics arrived from Tulum to transport him to the IMSS-Bienestar hospital. However, he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police have not released his age or name.

There is no word on possible charges for the driver of the bus or reports of injured passengers. An investigation into what caused the motorcycle driver to swerve into the path of the oncoming bus is being investigated.
