Tulum dive team search cenote for woman missing seven months

Tulum, Q.R. — A dive team from Tulum searched a local cenote for a woman who has been missing for nearly seven months. The team scoured the Tulum Chit Jungle Club for her body but did not report finding any traces of her.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) released a missing person’s notice for the 29-year-old in April, three months after her family said she was last seen. According to their report to the FGE, the last time Michelle S was seen was on January 16 of this year, however, they didn’t file a missing person’s report with authorities until April 22.

The cenote search began after a request from the family who reported being told their daughter had been murdered. She was apparently last seen at a rave party at the Tulum Chit Jungle Club. The family is also searching for her former boyfriend, Leo G, originally from Colombia, who is said to be the last known person to see her alive.
