Tulum couple shot in broad daylight for refusing to pay criminal floor right fees

Tulum, Q.R. — A man and woman were rushed to hospital Thursday afternoon after being shot. The husband and wife were shot in broad daylight on Tauro Street for, according to local reports, refusing to pay a floor right fee to criminals.

Julio “V” and his wife own a tow truck business in the town of Tulum. Julio “V” was a municipal director during the Víctor Más Tah administration.

The shooting was reported to authorities through a 911 call around 1:15 p.m. after Julio “V” reportedly refused to make the payment. At the time of reporting, both were said to be in critical condition.
