Tulum city council hires external auditor for previous administration

Tulum, Q.R. — Tulum City Council has voted in favor of an external audit for the previous council that ran the municipality from 2016 to 2018.

An external auditor has been hired by the City Council of Tulum to review the 2016 to 2018 administration which was headed by then- municipal president, Romalda Dzul Caamal. The audit will also analyze the performance of former public officials.

The decision was made to disclaim responsibilities in the event of anomalies and in turn, not affect the current administration headed by Víctor Mas Tah.

The comptroller of Tulum City Council, Víctor Manuel Velázquez Buenfil, prepared the official letter requesting city council hire an external auditor and start the analysis of the past administration and present the results before the current municipal administration ends.
