Tulum City Council announces the suspension of its urban development program

Tulum, Q.R. — The municipal government of Tulum says it will suspend the application of the Municipal Program for the Territorial, Ecological and Sustainable Urban Development Program of the Municipality of Tulum (PMOTEDUS) and will initiate its modification as ordered by federal authorities.

In a statement, Tulum City Council reported that the Municipal Urban Development Program published in the Periódico Oficial March 31, 2021, is under review by both federal and state bodies, adding that the document will not be part of the Registro Público de la Propiedad.

In their statement, Tulum City Council says that in response to recommendations by the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat), its application will be suspended in coming days so they can begin a modification process for Semarnat approval.
