Three left seriously injured in two-vehicle collision along Tulum highway

Tulum, Q.R. — Three people have been left with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision along the Tulum-Cobá highway.

Numerous emergency personnel attended to the scene of the accident which was recorded at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday when a Yucatan truck collided with a Quintana Roo car.

According to accident information, the driver of the car Esteban P, was left with serious arm and leg injuries and was rushed to hospital. Two people from the truck, Álvarez J and Marco Antonio D, were also injured and transferred to hospital for treatment.

According to the preliminary report, the driver of the car lost control and hit the truck. Municipal Traffic Police were first on scene in response to the 911 call from other highway travelers. Tow trucks arrived to haul away the vehicles that were both deemed write-offs.
