Three arrested connected to nine Tulum homicides police report

Tulum, Q.R. — Two separate arrests have been connected to nine recent murders in the municipality of Tulum. On Monday, local authorities reported on the arrests of  Antony Azael “N”, José Francisco “N” and Ángel Gabriel “N” who they say, are gang members.

The three gang members were taken into custody in two separate drug dealing-related arrests over the weekend. Once in custody, an initial investigation connected the suspects to nine recent aggravated homicides.

Antony Azael “N”, alias “88”, José Francisco “N”, alias “Montana” and/or “Chofer” and Ángel Gabriel “N”, alias “Mosco” and/or “13”, were arrested for drug dealing offenses.

The capture of Antony Azael “N” and José Francisco “N” took place in the streets of the invasion area known as “Nasim” when the investigating elements realized that when one of the suspects was taking a box of cigarettes out of his pocket, several bags with substances fell out which he immediately picked up and put in a fanny pack.

An inspection revealed a variety of narcotics and pills as well as a 9 mm caliber firearm with a magazine and cartridges.

Police say Ángel Gabriel “N” was arrested while driving on Acuario Street and upon inspection seized bags of narcotics and pills. Tulum authorities did not comment on the nine homicides they believe the three gang members are involved in, only that they were “recent” and in the municipality of Tulum.
