Tulum, Q.R. — The tender to repair the Punta Allen road will be launched next week. Carlos Efraín Yama Moguel, the General Director of Municipal Public Works and Services of Tulum, said the project is ready for tender.
He says the project has already been designed and will take approximately three weeks for the bidding process. Within a month, the winning company is expected to begin work repairing the community’s road.
He said the project includes road improvements from the Mayan Arch to the town, which consists of around 40 kilometers. The cost budgeted for the road is 10 million pesos and should be finished by mid-December.
Tulum Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo said the road is being repaired (not paved) after numerous citizen requests.
