Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Several states including varying areas of Quintana Roo have been experiencing Telmex service issues. On Thursday and again on Friday morning, the telecommunications company left customers with intermittent services.
According to Downdetector, the biggest reported problem was a loss of signal followed by mobile phone signal issues.
States known to have been affected included Monterrey, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Colima, Tabasco, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
Both Telmex and Telcel customers were affected by what has been said caused by acts of vandalism of the fiber optic network of the Telcel Operations Telephone Center in Puebla.
There has also been reports of damage to the fiber optic network near Tulum and Felipe Carrillo Puerto, in Quintana Roo, but no further details were given. The latest areas to be affected included Campeche, Chiapas, Tabasco, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
