Tulum, Q.R. — An armed attack along the Tulum coastal road left one dead and two injured. Early Saturday, a Tulum taxi driver was intercepted by another Tulum taxi along a coastal road that crosses the Tulum Hotel Zone.

Two men from inside the intercepting taxi forced those from inside the unit to get out. Once outside, they began shooting, killing one of the two crew from inside. The driver of the unit and his second crew member were also shot, but not fatally.

Reports say the deceased man was shot six times. Police collected 12 .9mm caliber shell casings from the area of the attack. Those involved, including the deceased, have not been publicly identified.
