Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Authorities say a judge has ordered Luis Alberto “N” to remain jailed during his trial. He is facing charges in the May 3 shooting death of his girlfriend.
The shooting happened in the town of Calderitas in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco. The woman’s body was found with nearly a dozen bullet wounds. During a search operation, he is reported to have also fired at police.
“According to preliminary investigations, on May 3 of this year in the town of Calderitas, the suspect allegedly fired a firearm approximately 12 times at the victim, his partner, and then fled in a vehicle.”
“Following a report of the incident, authorities launched a search operation, locating Luis Alberto “N.” He opened fire on State Police officers, who ultimately blocked his path. The officers proceeded to capture him and place him at the disposal of the FGE,” they said.
According to authorities, Luis Alberto “N” is facing charges of femicide.
