Tulum, Q.R. — The State Attorney General’s Office has reported the arrest of a suspect in the murder of a Tulum woman. Julio “N” was arrested by Investigative Police over the weekend after the body of a 19 year old woman was found on a dirt road Saturday night.

Julio “N” has been arrested for “his probable participation in events that could constitute the crime of femicide,” police said.
“The suspect is Julio “N”. Initial investigations suggest that Julio “N” killed the woman out of jealousy. The victim’s body was found with stab wounds on a dirt road a few meters from the Tulum-Felipe Carrillo Puerto federal highway on February 8 of this year,” they added.

The body of the young woman identified as Yuritzi “M”, 19, was discovered by passersby Saturday night around 7:30 p.m. with 10 stab wounds.
