Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — The Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSC) is strengthening police operations in remote southern communities. On Wednesday, the Secretary of Citizen Security made patrols in more than a dozen remote areas. Check stops were also in place in collaboration with the Navy and municipal police.

“A preventive provisional inspection filter was installed in the town of Muyil, with the support of the Municipal Police of Felipe Carrillo Puerto,” the SSC said.
Surveillance and security patrols were also made in areas with gaps, dirt roads and places with high incidences.
The SSC reported patrols in the towns of Ucum, Carlos A. Madrazo, Jesús González Ortega, Nachicocom, Morocoy, Francisco Villa, Nicolas Bravo, Sergio Butron Casas, Sacxan, Palmar, Ramonal, Allende, Sabidos, Pucté, el Gallito, Otilo Montaño, Melchor Ocampo, Reforma, Altos de Sevilla, San Román, la Libertad, Limonar, San Pedro Peralta, Xul-Ha and Lázaro Cárdenas.

“As part of the activities, various support was provided to citizens with the aim of giving them timely attention and guidance. At the same time, strengthen the bond with each person and reiterate the availability of the State Police that works to advance the construction of peace,” they said.
