Six to face federal charges of fuel theft from Cancun CFE substation

Cancun, Q.R. — A group of men reported by onsite security for fuel theft were detained by Cancun police. On Sunday, the group of six men were spotted by an onsite security guard siphoning fuel from tanks on CFE property.

The arrests took place in SM 306 of Cancun Sunday afternoon when the security guard reported six aggressive men on the property.

Responding officers found the group on Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) substation property filling tanks through a hose extension.

Arrested were Antonio “N”, Nicolas “N”, Williams “N”, Luis “N”, Carlos “N” and Moisés “N”. They were taken into custody from inside their gray vehicle that police found hooked up by an extension hose to the CFE fuel supply to refill empty portable tanks. They will face federal charges.
