Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — A semi driver that rolled his unit across a section of the federal 307 created severe traffic disruptions. On Saturday afternoon the driver of a double-long trailer lost control and rolled onto its side.

National Guard were first on scene, locating the overturned semi on a stretch of road connecting the municipalities of Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Othón P. Blanco. The semi was found completely blocking traffic in both directions.
Motorists who were unable to pass called emergency services, prompting the response of National Guard Highway Patrol officers and paramedics. The driver was found with non-serious injuries.
The area was cordoned off due to the risk posed by the fuel spill and the unstable position of the trailer. Authorities implemented an operation to divert traffic and begin up-righting the overturned vehicle. Heavy-duty tow trucks were brought in.
Traffic remained closed in both directions for several hours while the scene was cleared and the highway cleaned of the fuel spill. The driver was heading north at the time of the accident.

According to available information, the driver lost control of his semi while taking a sharp corner.
