Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Investigative Police completed an arrest warrant against Rubicel “N”, for the qualified homicide of two victims. On Monday, the State Attorney General announced the capture of Rubicel “N” in the deaths of a man and woman.
The man and woman were killed in the town of Subteniente López in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco in May of 2021. In June of 2023, another suspect in the murders, Sebastián “N”, was sentenced to 62 years and six months in prison for his part in the killings.
With this arrest, there are now two detainees related to this case. According to the State’s statement, their “investigation indicates that on May 30, 2021, when the victims were at their home in the town of Subteniente López, Rubicel “N” and his alleged co-participants arrived aboard a vehicle from which they all got out carrying firearms.
“It was then that the male victim, upon asking what was happening, received a gunshot wound in response and fell wounded to the ground. The second victim, a female, upon leaving the property and realizing what had happened, chose to go protect her children, but another of the alleged murderers approached and shot her.
“Meanwhile, the accused Rubicel “N”, activated his weapon against the man who was already injured by the first impact he received.”
