Tulum, Q.R. — A dismembered body was located by municipal authorities Friday after reports of “bags with blood stains” along the highway. Area residents reported the sighting late Friday morning.
Police found two blue bags that had been thrown along the side of a section of municipal highway approximately 15 kilometers north of the town of Tulum. The bags contained the dismembered body of an adult male.
In response to the 11:26 a.m. report, Municipal Police cordoned off the area where the body was found, reducing traffic heading toward Tulum to one lane. Police are working to identify the victim since he was found without any form of identification.
