Cancun, Q.R. — A resident died Wednesday morning after falling approximately eight stories from a Cancun building. The accident was reported on Avenida México inside the Liverte apartment complex in SM 510.
According to initial reports, on-site security personnel saw the man fall from the building and land on the pavement below. They requested an ambulance, however, paramedics confirmed the man’s death at the scene.
Municipal police were called in to verify the report and wait for the coroner. The street was restricted while police remained on site.
Police have not released any information regarding the man’s fall. It is not clear if his fall was an accident or caused by something else. Authorities have not released the name of the victim.
