Tulum, Q.R. — Police and National Guard were at the scene Friday where three dead bodies were found with an abandoned taxi. The finding was made by authorities after receiving a report of gunfire.
Police following up on the report located the vehicle left parked on a dirt road. Inside the cab was one man. Outside the cab on a dirt road were two more men. They are believed to have been Tulum taxi drivers abducted days before. All three had been shot to death.
The car was located on a dirt road near a cenote. An area search was implemented in the thick jungle for those responsible. Police have not announced the finding of any suspects.
Paramedics confirmed all three men were dead. Two of the bodies were covered with a hand written narco message intentionally left behind to threaten others. The victims have not yet been identified pending notification of immediate family.
