Report of gunfire leads police to dead body on Tulum jungle road

Tulum, Q.R. — The body of a man was removed from the side of a jungle road in Tulum Friday. The body was found by police around 3:30 p.m. on a dirt road just before the Tulum International Airport.

Police found the body after receiving an emergency call regarding the sound of gunfire. Public Security Secretariat police went to the site with paramedics from the QR-154 medical unit.

Upon their arrival at 3:30 p.m., they confirmed the presence of a man with no vital signs. Ministerial Police was requested to begin the investigation and arrange for the removal of the body.

The area was cordoned off while police worked.
