Police pick up five suspects wanted for eight Tulum murders

Tulum, Q.R. — Five male youths were arrested Friday in relation to eight Tulum murders. One of the captured suspects, arrested separately, is reported to be a gang leader and hitman on the state’s most wanted list.

Police say Darwin Daniel “N”, alias “Tiro Loco”, is considered a priority target of the Criminal Atlas of the State of Quintana Roo. According to authorities, Darwin Daniel “N”, 20, has two arrest warrants for the crime of qualified homicide. He is the head of hitmen of the criminal group to which he belongs, they said.

The group were taken into custody by the Investigative Police of the FGE on Avenida 10 Norte near the corner of Calle 4 Norte in the city of Tulum. Arrested separately was Alexis Armando “N”, alias “El Motor”, Gabriel “N”, alias “El Tocino” and Wilber “N”, alias “El Kakash”, all of them possibly related to more than eight homicides. They are also part of a criminal group that generates violence in this municipality.

These people were seized with short and long weapons, type AK47, chargers, as well as a Chevrolet Spark vehicle, police said. After completing the corresponding procedures, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
