Tulum, Q.R. — Police in Tulum are on the lookout for a bus driver who fled after rear-ending a car. National Guard were called Saturday morning after reports of a bus hitting a private vehicle.

The accident happened shortly before 7:00 a.m. on the federal 307 near the southern entrance to the town of Tulum where the driver of the bus hit the back driver’s side of a car.
The back end of the car was left severely damaged from the rear-end that also left the front driver’s side of the bus damaged, including a partially shattered windshield.

By the time National Guard Highways arrived, the driver of the bus had fled. An official cause for the crash is not known. Traffic was slowed in the area while National Guard had the two vehicles towed from the highway.
