Tulum, Q.R. — Four more arrests have been made during a Tulum beach sweep by police. The arrests were announced Tuesday by the FGE. The agency reported elements of the institution that makes up the State Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security in Quintana Roo were responsible for the detainment of the four who were arrested on drug charges, specifically, selling.
The FGE reported police began a patrol after receiving several citizen complaints about drug sales in the Tulum beach area. The FGE (Fiscalía General del Estado) says Lucio “R”, Miguel “H”, Alan “H” and Rodrigo “L” were arrested after being “caught in flagrante delicto”.
Their arrests come a week after 17 people were arrested from the Tulum Hotel Zone on various drug charges. Since their arrests, 16 remain jailed.
