Police arrest two in Tulum on weapons charges

Tulum, Q.R. — Elements of the Quintana Roo Police in Tulum made the arrest of two men for possession of weapons.

The arrests were made after a complaint was received by Emergency 911 for a report about armed individuals firing a gun from a vehicle in the Maya Pax neighborhood.

Quintana Roo Police conducted a search operation and spotted the vehicle in the Tunbekaa neighborhood. Police pulled the vehicle over for inspection and found two firearms and rounds of ammunition.

Police say Raúl N and Rudy N were taken into custody and have since been made available to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office.
