Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two people were rescued from an overturned car along a Playa del Carmen municipal highway. A woman and her four year old child were removed from the vehicle after being cut free by firemen.
Members of the Playa del Carmen fire department were requested at the scene of the rollover along the Tintal highway Friday.
Firemen were requested after paramedics found a woman trapped inside.
The 36 year old female driver was located alive and cut free from the vehicle for hospital transport.
Her 4 year old child was found with only minor injuries, but transferred to hospital for an evaluation.
The single vehicle accident happened around 9:00 a.m. on a section of the toll highway.
Other drivers requested help after seeing the driver roll the car. The cause of the rollover is unknown.
