Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Four people were hurt when an industrial truck and tourist bus collided. The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. outside the community of Francisco Villa.
Passing motorists stopped to help the injured and make a report to emergency services. Paramedics transferred four people to area hospital with undisclosed injuries. One of those transferred was the driver of the industrial truck.
According to early information, the two vehicle collision happened when the driver of the dump truck was performing maneuvers on the darkened highway without noticing the oncoming bus.
Highway 186 where the accident happened is near Maya Train tracks. The dump truck involved in the accident was reportedly working on the Maya Train project.
Both heavy units involved in the accident were transferred to the corralón. An official cause of the accident is still under investigation.
