Tulum, Q.R. — A party of more than 150 people was shut down in Tulum after authorities received a complaint. Inspectors from the Federal Commission for Civil Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) responded to the complaint that was called in against the Caleta Tankah Club.
When they arrived, they found an excess of 150 people gathered at the beach club in violation of numerous state health protocols. Authorities proceeded to evict those on site and lay fines against those responsible. The beach club was also temporarily suspended.
