Cancun, Q.R. — Four children were removed from a Cancun home and one adult male arrested for child pornography after police carry out an investigation. The Attorney General of the State (FGE) has reported the arrest of Raúl D, who they say, has been implicated in the commission of crimes related to child pornography, the corruption of minors, rape and sexual abuse.
Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) of Quintana Roo says the arrest took place in a private home in the Villas Otoch subdivision of Cancun. According to their investigation, the Center for Electronic Crimes Against Minors informed the Attorney General of Quintana Roo of possible criminal online “internet” conduct affecting girls, boys and adolescents by users originating in different states.
They say a user was detected for carrying out the transmission of data files (images of child pornography) which began the investigation and geolocation of the home. Investigators were successful in linking the data with two telephone numbers and two email accounts of the accused, Raúl D., of which they say more than 1,100 photos and an excess of 900 child pornographic videos were sent, adding that he participated in some of the videos.
The investigation began February 10, which finally lead to the rescue of four minors between the ages of one and 14, as well as the arrest of Raúl D. Police say from the home, they also seized electronic devices and a significant amount of evidence that will be used to help their case.
The FGE reports that Raúl D has been linked to the charges and will remain in preventative detention. The minor children have been place in the care of authorities.
