Tulum, Q.R. — One man died after being shot in an irregular residential area in the municipality of Tulum.
The attack was recorded just before 5:00 p.m. when area residents say shots were fired at two people sitting inside a white car. Residents reported that the pair had just arrived and parked when the shooting took place. One armed subject apparently fired at both men when the passenger opened the door. The shooter fled the scene.
One of the two in the targeted shooting died, while the other was taken to hospital. Police responded to the call, arriving to find one man dead. An ambulance was called to pronounce one and transfer the other for medical attention.
Neither of the men have been identified. The area remained cordoned off while police gathered evidence.
