Tulum, Q.R. — One person was rushed to hospital in serious condition after a two vehicle highway crash outside Tulum. At least two others were left with injuries after a car and compact SUV collided.
Elements of the National Guard took lead of the weekend accident site along the Federal Highway. Police and ambulances were called to help deal with the two vehicle collision that left the SUV in shoulder vegetation.
The driver of car had reportedly fled before authorities arrived. Two others found at the scene were transported to hospital for medical treatment. Both vehicles received extensive damage. An official cause of the accident was not provided.
