Tulum, Q.R. — A trio of vehicles that collided near the Dos Ojos cenote in Tulum left at least one person in serious condition. The highway accident was reported Sunday after two taxis collided.
The impact from the hit was severe enough to cause two of the drivers to be projected from their units. One was found in roadside vegetation.
A third vehicle, a private pickup truck, happened upon the scene, ended up overturned, laying on its side in the middle of the highway.
Medical personnel found the injured taxi driver in the highway brush where he was placed on a stretcher and transported to hospital in serious condition. The taxis involved included one from Cancun and one from Tulum. Both were considered write offs.
