Tulum, Q.R. — A Tulum man was left laying dead on a dirt road Sunday morning after being shot. The shooting happened in broad daylight around 10:30 a.m. in the Veleta area of town.
The man of approximately 30 was found laying face down at the intersection of 10th South and 9th West streets.
According to initial testimonies, the man was intercepted by two gunmen who shot him seveal times before running off on foot. The pair quickly disappeared, leaving their victim on the road.

Tulum Municipal Police were first on scene after being notified of the shooting. Nearby residents made the 9-1-1 call after hearing guns being fired.
Municipal police were sent in response to the residential reports, arriving to find a dead man laying in the middle of the road.
Police have not identified the deceased man or commented on a possible motive for the targeted Sunday morning attack.
