Municipal Police remove five tour vendors from Cozumel streets

Cozumel, Q.R. — Municipal Police in Cozumel have arrested five tour vendors for various infractions in the south and central regions of the city.

Three tour sellers were arrested for working without permits, while two more were removed from the streets for conducting business outside their designated area.

Police officers began their operation near the international cruise ship dock in the South Hotel Zone, where police found three tour vendors working without municipal permits.

Police also arrested two men at Punta Langosta where they were found selling tours outside their permitted work area. Police continued their operation toward the North Hotel Zone with the detainees in tow.

Since September, the municipal administration has carried out these operations to clear tourist areas of irregular commission vendors.
