Tulum, Q.R. — A two vehicle highway crash outside the town of Tulum left material damage without serious injuries. The accident happened Friday night between a flatbed semi and municipal combi.
During the darkened hours, both the van and the heavy unit, which was transporting a large piece of machinery, collided leaving the combi overturned in the ditch near the Aldea Tulum subdivision.
Several passing motorists stopped at the scene of the accident to help those inside the combi as well as call emergency services. There were no serious injuries reported in the two vehicle crunch.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged with the combi van receiving the most damage with a shattered windshield. It is not known how the combi collided with the front passenger side of the semi.
