Tulum, Q.R. — A young woman has died after she and her 2-year-old daughter were hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The accident happened around midnight Tuesday on calles Okot in Tulum when the mother and daughter were hit by a truck while riding a bicycle. Police have identified the woman as 29-year-old Deisy Santos from Chiapas. Police say she was pronounced on scene.
The 2-year-old girl was rushed to hospital with multiple serious injuries. Since the driver failed to stop, no arrests were made. Police continue to search for the driver and vehicle.
