Tulum, Q.R. – A 30 kilo package of cocaine was found by touring military personnel on a section of Tulum beach. The wrapped package was located along a section of the Tulum-Boca Paila coastal highway near the town’s tourist zone Wednesday.
Patrolling National Guard found a washed up bag among the sargassum. Upon inspection, they found 30 packages of individually wrapped cocaine bricks inside one large package.
The 30 one-kilo bricks were turned over to the Federal Public Ministry Agency. It is the third time in less than two months that large blocks of cocaine have been found washed up on Quintana Roo beaches.
