Tulum, Q.R. — Tulum Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo says he will lead weekly press conferences with City Hall directors starting next week. The weekly press conferences will be permanent and inform the public about government progresses.
He says the conferences will also be held to address citizen concerns.
The mayor indicated that these briefings will be held regularly as a permanent channel of talk and accountability between the municipal administration and the people of Tulum.
During each conference, reports from various departments will be presented on topics such as public works, social programs, municipal services and other government actions.
In the first upcoming conferences, key issues such as public safety, garbage collection, urban development and the promotion of sustainable tourism will be prioritized.
Castañón Trejo said the permanent informative meetings reflect his government’s commitment to transparency, citizen participation and access to information. Pillars, he says, that are essential for strengthening trust and collaboration between citizens and their authorities.
