Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Mayor Yensunni Martínez Hernández has welcomed Navy Lieutenant Manuel Santibañez Cortés to assume the General Directorate of Public Safety and Traffic of the municipality.
Santibañez Cortés assumed his new position over the weekend in a swearing-in ceremony that took place at the Municipal Police headquarters.
Mayor Martínez highlighted the importance of the appointment of the new police leader as a crucial step in the joint efforts of the federal, state and municipal governments to strengthen security.
This approach, the mayor stressed, is essential for building peace not only in Othón P. Blanco, but throughout the state.
In a gesture of recognition, Martínez thanked former head, Frigate Captain Jesper Jovani Pérez Azamar, for his outstanding leadership and dedication during his tenure as head of the Municipal Police, highlighting his contribution to the continued progress of local security.
During the morning ceremony, Santibáñez Cortés took the oath of office before the members of the Othón P. Blanco City Council, pledging to serve with integrity and determination.
