Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Neighbors outside a small Playa del Carmen grocery store notified police of a robbery before it occurred when they saw the man approaching with a gun.
After receiving the call, police arrived at the small mom-and-pop grocery store, Abarrotes Jennifer, in the Galaxia del Carmen II subdivision and found the man inside.
Staff of the grocery store say that the man, flashing his gun, began demanding cash from the store’s registers. Municipal police arrested the man and after a search, found his gun was a toy.
He was taken into custody and processed.
