Tulum, Q.R. — A man who asked Tulum police for assistance ended up getting himself arrested for drug possession.
The man entered the restricted area of the public security building to ask for help after he had an accident with his motorcycle. While explaining his dilemma, police noticed he was intoxicated.
A general inspection of the man and his bike began, which is when police saw the man cling tightly to his backpack. An inspection of the backpack produced three bags of marijuana along with American and Mexican cash, which led to the arrest of 32-year-old Mauricio Rafael N from Mexico City.
