Tulum, Q.R. — Quintana Roo Police agents have detained one person for the crime of breaking federal closure seals that were placed on an establishment. The business was temporarily suspended by officials for hosting a party and failing to comply with the state’s health protocols.
The man was taken into police custody after he broke open the seals to gain access.
In a statement, it was reported that during a tour carried out in coordination with the Department of Inspection and Collection in order to verify sanitary health protocols in establishments, agents noticed the broken seal.
Their statement detailed the opened seal was located on a business in the Aldea Zamá neighborhood. Patrolling officers approached the man, who has been identified as 42-year-old Luis N.
He was notified of the broken seal and referred to the State Attorney General’s Office. Personnel from the Department of Inspection and Collection replaced the broken closure seals of the establishment.
