LP gas truck nearly topples in Tulum

Tulum, Q.R. — The driver of an LP gas truck found himself in precarious situation Tuesday after driving too close along the edge of a coastal road. Tow trucks were called to the scene along the Tulum-Boca Paila coastal highway after the unit became stuck and a front tire lifted off the ground.

Elements of the Tulum fire department arrived at the Punta Piedra site as did personnel from Civil Protection and Traffic, all of whom waited for tow trucks to arrive and upright the truck back onto four tires.

Traffic was tied up for more than an hour-and-a-half while they worked to move the wobbling LP unit from the loose rocks back onto the roadway.
