Jesús Pérez Abarca dismissed as head of Tulum public security

Tulum, Q.R. — On Sunday night, the head of Public Security of Tulum, Jesús Pérez Abarca, was removed from office after a murder near the front of the municipal palace facilities.

According to Municipal Police, Pérez Abarca was dismissed for being deficient in his duties and for unfavorable results in terms of security. Gabriel Sifri Jiménez, special PRD delegate in Tulum with functions of president en the Comité Directivo Municipal, indicated that the permanence of Jesús Pérez Abarca was unsustainable.

On Sunday night, it was reported that the subsecretario of Seguridad Pública, Nesguer Ignacio Vicencio Méndez, has been appointed the position of la Dirección General de Seguridad Pública y Tránsito de Tulum, replacing Jesus Pérez Abarca, for which he will be sworn in this week.
