Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man has been taken to hospital after receiving three gunshot wounds during a targeted chase through Playa del Carmen.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to hospital after he was chased while driving his own vehicle. The chase happened in the residential area of La Guadalupana. Witnesses called police who arrived to find the man’s vehicle had been hit six times.
The man, who was shot twice in his arm and once in his side, was able to leave his vehicle and walk to a nearby Red Cross where he was taken to hospital.
The area was surrounded by police who reported finding four 9 millimeter shells.
Due to conflicting witness descriptions of the hit car, no arrests were made. Police continue their search.
