Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two subjects were apprehended in Playa del Carmen after a vehicle search revealed a gun and drugs.
Police apprehended Ismael N and Carlos N on 25th Avenue Sur at around 4:40 p.m. after the driver of the vehicle sped away at the sight of police. The Honda, with Quintana Roo plates, was spotted on 10th Street north, but the chase led police to 25th Avenue south where the vehicle was stopped and those inside inspected.
Police report that inside the vehicle they found 20 bags of marijuana, a firearm and ammunition. The two occupants were taken into custody by Quintana Roo Police and delivered to the competent authorities, while their gun, drugs and vehicle were seized.
